Belarus held the semi final of EuroFest, their national selection for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow, tonight. 15 acts competed and five of the were chosen by a jury to go forward to the final in January. .time {behavior: url(#default#time2);}

Ruslan Alekhno represented Belarus in Belgrade and finished 17th in the second semi final with Hasta la vista thus not reaching the final. The country has only made it to the final once so far in 2007, when Koldun reached 6th place overall.
yes, no one can sing better than dima!... some days ago i read an article in internet about eurovision songs from all participated countries. they campared songs of 8-10 last years. and about belarus.... they said belarussian singers always sing boring russian pop music songs and only dima koldun was a bit better...
but i think Philip Kirkorov's money was a problem of Dima. People didnt want to vote for him because they felt a smell of lots of money. every year he produce one of participated singer and spend lots of money for him. but people negative think about those advertisments
