Belarus: five acts chosen for the final

Belarus held the semi final of EuroFest, their national selection for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow, tonight. 15 acts competed and five of the were chosen by a jury to go forward to the final in January. .time {behavior: url(#default#time2);}

The following acts have made it to the final (the songs might still be changed according to the rules):

  • Petr Elfimov - Eyes that never lie
  • Litesound feat. Dakota - Carry on  
  • Domenika - This is my day
  • Gunesh - Fantastic girl
  • Veter v Golove - Or - or - and

Ruslan Alekhno represented Belarus in Belgrade and finished 17th in the second semi final with Hasta la vista thus not reaching the final. The country has only made it to the final once so far in 2007, when Koldun reached 6th place overall.

I think Belarus was so lucky to have dima sing such a good song for them and they won't do well again without another song like wym.

For me Work your magic was(and it is)one of the best songs at ESC ever!

But these songs aren't for Esc

yes, no one can sing better than dima!...
some days ago i read an article in internet about eurovision songs from all participated countries. they campared songs of 8-10 last years. and about belarus.... they said belarussian singers always sing boring russian pop music songs and only dima koldun was a bit better...

Well, actually I liked Ruslan Alehno's song :) he should have gone to the final ^^

I'm doing my french presentation about ESC :D:D
and I'm gonna show my favorite song, which is ofcourse dima :D:D

Yeah but not only the belarus but ESC song also!!!!!!He was totaly the best that year!!!

but i think Philip Kirkorov's money was a problem of Dima. People didnt want to vote for him because they felt a smell of lots of money. every year he produce one of participated singer and spend lots of money for him. but people negative think about those advertisments

I think that is true but also it's good to give him such a big promotion or nobody in other countries would have known about him.
