Many people say that russian is very hard to learn but it's practical! You can use russian in every state of the former USSR, and that are alone 16!! You can also use it in Bulgaria, in Czech Republic, Poland, Slovenia (Valentina correct me if I'm wrong!) and in East Germany ;)

I don't know whether it's hard or not to learn, because I've heard it in my childhood all the time. But the people I ask about russian say it's really hard. But good that you want to learn it :)
