I agree with Nadia about voting. I think it sucks when some countries vote only for their neighbours because than songs fall in second plan. I hate that Croatia always gives 12 points to Serbia and their songs are not always the best. And about UK on ESC, in my opinion they haven't had a good song since 1997 when they won. Indeed, since countries like UK, France, Germany and Spain got some benefits, they don't care much about their ESC representers.

Western Europe seems not to care any more because none have won for a very long time! I think that's why we send some bad acts...
But that doesnt matter as long as there are some die-hard fans left in W Europe :P

The big 4 don't seem to really care anymore. As long as they're in the final, why bother to have a good song? Whereas the other countries, most of which are in Eastern Europe, don't have that advantage, so they need to pick good enough songs to make it to the final.

i think uk has had very bad songs but with jessica garlick they had a good song because we came 3rd with her in 2002 i think

i didn't know she was making a comeback. she came from pop idol or something didn't she. i met her in esc and i loved her. that was one of the few good uk songs.

with the big 4, you have to remember WHY they are the big 4 so you could argue they deserve the advantage

Jessica Garlick has been UKs biggest success story for UK recently and nadia, have you ever watched Never Mind The Buzz****s on BBC2? Jessica Garlick was a guest and she talked about her album there

you know they are the big 4 because they pay money to the ebu i think so they don't really deserve the advantage

well, to be fair, without the big 4 the ESC might not even be able to carry on like it is - plus those 4 countries would not broadcast the event so we would miss out :(

Without UK, spain, germany & france countries such as Serbia would not be able to afford to host the event

they would broadcast it but they just wouldn't be in the final automatically and they almost always do really bad so it's not fair on other countries
