The national promo parties are an integral part of the Eurovision Song Contest weeks in the host city. The media present to cover the event are invited to enjoy the hospitality of the participating delegations for a chance to meet the artists and their teams in a more relaxed environment.

To kick off this years country parties will be the country closest to Russia, Belarus. Not satisfied with giving tons of ice cream, chocolate and even their own branded Petr Elfimov vodka the members of the media, they will now throw a party at the Eurodom club tonight, starting at 23.00. Apart from this years entrant Petr Elfimov many others will take to the stage. Previous Belarus entrants, Polina Smolova (2006), Dima Koldun (2007) and Rusland Alehno (2008) will entertain. Also Chiara from Malta, Sakis Rouvas from Greece, Svetlana Loboda from Ukraine, Inars Busulis from Latvia and AySel and Arash from Azerbaidjan have confirmed their performances tonight. More ice cream is promised in the invite, too.

Hosting the concert will be Dima Koldun and Anastasia Tihanovich (Belarusian singer and producer of the Belarusian national selection show Eurofest).

Btw Ybet Sakis is there so Katerina and all greek tv channels for sure biggrin

Belarus has just launched the country's quest for a song to present at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in Oslo (Norway). As an important novelty, BTRC is no longer the broadcaster in charge of the national final for Eurovision, handing over ONT.

The full details regarding the format of the selection method for the Belarussian Eurovision entry are yet to be announced, but the broadcaster now in charge, ONT, has released some preliminary information.

There will be a national final, where some songs will be presented. The entries must be composed for a male soloist or for a group comprising of 6 female vocalists, and will feature polyphonic sounds as well as classical singing.

The authors of the song chosen to participate at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest will win a prize of $ 50,000.

The deadline to submit compositions has been set on October 1st. There are two possible ways to do it: in a recorded physical format, which has to be sent to the following address: 220029, , . , . , 6, « ». Another possibility is to submit the musical file to the broadcaster's website .

So Go DIMKAAAA!!!!!!No female singerssss!!!!!I read the comments on ESC today and people say that Dmitry should go again and that WYM was their favourite entry from Belarus!!!!

Dmitriy Koldun: A camp of the «Young Guard » is the best method to ventilate brains

The Byelorussian singer Dmitriy Koldun told to us the plans on the future and remembered the years when he was a student. Graduating the sixth «Factory of Stars» at first, was singing on a rehearsal, long asked the colleagues to «do a barrel», and then, armed with dark glasses and bag, with fascination began to look flights of lipetsk «Swifts».
It, however, did not prevent him to answer question of our correspondent, in spite of the fact that colleagues from «Roots» periodically called Dima to «glance another thing» (apparently, there were next maneuvers of lipetsk pilots).

- Dmitriy, can you say the first impressions of a camp?.

- All this wonderful atmosphere reminded my years when I was the student of chemical faculty, also took part in such performance. .
It is necessary to say, wonderful reception was organized for us, all is great!.

- Your opinion,what can mean such collections for young people?

- It, sure, the best method to ventilate the brains, to have the new impressions from meetings with coevals. This age, which boys, arriving in the Lipetsk , are in, it is time of initiatives,notton new openings. Such meetings become fashionable, and its like to me'.

What plans do you have on the nearest future?

- After a concert I will go to Moscow, to continue my work of the album, presentation of which will take place on Septembers, 3-rd, in the capital. It will be my first licensed album two previous were making by pirates, so you can congratulate me with debut.

An artist was strained, even distracted of viewing of figures of aerial acrobatics, and after some mental operations, recalled a few compositions with the characteristic names.

Today I wrote to ESC today about Dima's new album and video clip so If we want the news to be published we must send it all!!!

I wrote this:

On September, 3rd in Moscow in the club B2 takes place a concert-presentation of the first solo album of Dmitry Koldun(The finalist from Eurovison 2007 for Belarus). It is Dmitry's first greater independent musical work. Preparation of an album proceeded about one year. The musical material is written down in absolutely "alive" sounding at direct participation of musicians participants of the band of Dmitry. The album's name is"KOLDUN" and the album can be buy from internet music shops
The first single of the album is the hit summer song"Tune In On Me(" ") for which Dmitry made a video clip in Saint Petersburg..

I dunno, I wrote what Borce told me and he wanted to say that they recorded with a live band I think, but they changed some of what I sent to them.

On ESC today wrote again for Dimka!!!!They wrote such a nice words biggrin

Sergey Lazarev, one of Russia's most recognized and established singers is enjoying massive success on home soil and his song Stereo has reached the number 1 slot on the Russian musical channel Music Box Russia. Sergey competed in the Russian Eurovision national final in 2008, thus achieving a 4th place with his song Flyer. Whilst the 2007 Belarusian representative Dimitry Koldun is close behind at number 2.

Sergey Lazarev has won many nominations and prestigious awards for his many hits in Russia. One of his latest songs, Stereo, has achieved the number one slot on the Russian music tv channel Music Box Russia. He is a familiar face at the annual Jurmala New Wave Song Festival both as a presenter and perfomer. Laser Boy, Girlfriend, Everytime and Shattered dreams are among his biggest hits. Sergey is tipped as a hot favorite to represent Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest one day!

Dimitry Koldun, who represented Belarus at the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Work your magic, is currently charting at number 2 with Nastroisya na menya at Russian music channel Music Box Russia. He is currently enjoying name and fame in Russia as his songs and videoclips are been aired all the time and given much exposure.
