It wasn't that strong a win actually, they only got 3 "douze points" and points from only 30/43 countries.
I really like the song and they have Swedish backing and a Sedish songwriter so it's almost like Sweden won! I was very surprised that Italy came 2nd, I don't think anyone expected it.
I think it was a good song but not to win!...I also wanted ukraine denmark greece and sweden to win! And i didnt expected it too! I think that they had abig welcome back now! xP
At least the Azerbaijan duo managed to hit the correct notes on the night - unlike certain other countries! I'm surprised Lithuania did not do better but they had a bad draw. Did the presentation of the Russian entry remind anyone else of WYM? I thought the entries this year were all pretty good but nothing stood out.
I wanted France to win. D= But Azerbaijan's was a great song!! And since I really didn't want Sweden to win (sorry Nadia and Miranda) I felt even better about it.
Russia's entry kind of reminded me of Lady Gaga (same songwriter!) mixed with Sergey Lazarev with a bit of Elvis...

well azerbaijan had a good song but not for the victory...its ok.....i didnt expect that italy would be at 2nd place too...for my opinion this song was not for the top 10 at all...germany in esc 07 has a song like italys this year and ended up 16th i think,so.....my favourites from top 10 was sweden,bosnia,denmark,ukraine.....the big suprises this year was that france didnt reach at least top 5 and i cant understand why?..the same for russia,hungary,uk and estonia.......and finally that reall winner of this year was greece....i dont say that because im from greece and i want my country to win..but the results prove that.....at the first semifinal greece was the winner with 133 points and azerbaijan came 2nd with 121 points...after this...on the final night juries voted for greece and they told in some tabloids (not greek) that greece was the winner of contest from juries and from many televoting countries.....but ok the song"watch my dance " and all the greek team was simlpy amazing and deserve to win but we are very happy that we are for 8th year on the top 10...thats a victory for us!!!!!!
Mine 2! I voted for sweden and greece 3 times!...and then i voted for russia denmark georgia ukraine and France! I like it but not for winning there were soo much better songs than Azerbajain!
I heard France booked their stadium for next year because they thought they would win and they had it all planned :) He was good but not as exciting as I thought. I know what you mean that russia reminded me of wym with the 2 white boards being moved
i liked the azerbaijan song but don't expected to win..i was surprised from italy too cause i really disliked it.. my favorites at all were bosnia,ukraine,denmark,romania,greece,Sweeden.iceland and most of all United Kingdom:)

yes thats better!i liked France and i wanted this country to win.Amaury Vassili gave a perfect performance..so powerfull voice! and he was so handsome. i also liked armenia because it had the rock style.and the voice of the singer was amazing. Azerbaijan wasnt bad i think it was a typical eurovision song in my opinion, it reminded me types of songs from older eurovision contests..Italy seems much older i didnt like it at all

I kinda like Italy it seems the more I listen to it the more i like it! i dont know how i liked cause as stella said its a type of an old song which I usually hate! I also liked Austria and France...france was a very very beautiful song and his voice was totallyy th best I have v ever heard in those types of songs!
